RESIDENT CAMPS
- Camp Kachina 244 acres on Lake Belton. Features include: water activities, a horse corral (horses only housed during summer), and archery range.
- Camp Texlake 455 acres on Lake Travis. Features include: water activities, an equestrian arena, nature center, ropes course and pool.
- Camp Wood Lake 49 acres on Lake Brownwood. Features include: water activities like canoeing, sailing, and paddle boating.

Call (512) 264-1044 or email the Camps Coordinator to check availability of dates and facilities. To begin a reservation you must provide your desired campout date, housing unit and your contact information. Reservations are made in the order they are received. A deposit holds your reservation and a reservation packet will be mailed to you.
Facility fees and any activity or meal fees are due at least two months prior to your campout. Activities are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis after your fees are received.
For girl safety, neither directions nor maps to camp are available to the general public. Directions with map are only sent in event confirmation packets.
Camp Kachina
With 110 waterfront acres on Lake Belton, Camp Kachina encompasses 244 acres in Belton, TX. During the summer it hosts overnight camps, giving girls the opportunity to enjoy horseback riding, sailing, archery and more. Camp Kachina has great ecological diversity, offering the chance to experience the natural beauty of Texas.
Camp Kachina is primarily used for Girl Scout events and programs, but is also available to outsider user groups.

Dining Areas
The octagon shaped dining hall accommodates 150 guests. Kitchen facilities are not available for rental groups, unless a catering license is provided.
Housing Areas
Camp Kachina offers a variety of housing facilities. The four lodges have air conditioning and are also suitable for winter camping. Screened cabins and platform tent areas are also available. All units have a open-air bathhouse and a fire circle.
- Kiva Lodge Acclimatized lodge with an interior bathroom, a sleeping loft, kitchen, and fireplace. It accommodates 25 overnight.
- Wikiup Lodge Shares bathhouse facilities with the Dining Hall and is connected by a small porch. It's acclimatized and has its own kitchen. It accommodates 15 overnight.
- Hopi Lodge Acclimatized lodge with its own kitchen. It shares an open air shower house and toilet facilities with the Hopi cabin unit. It accommodates 20 overnight.
- Wigwam Lodge Acclimatized lodge with its own kitchen and includes an interior bathroom. It accommodates 20 overnight.
- Hopi Cabin Unit has 10 screened cabins which accommodate 4 per cabin. It shares toilet facilities and an open air shower house with Hopi Lodge.
- Zuni Cabin Unit has 10 screened cabins which accommodate 4 per cabin. It has its own toilet facilities and open air bathhouse.
- Tewa Shelter and Tent Area Primitive camping unit with tent pads and an open air bathhouse.
- Yuma Tent Area provides platform tent camping and an open air bathhouse.
Camp Texlake
Camp Texlake is the council’s 455-acre outdoor program area located on Lake Travis. After $5 million in renovations, Texlake is looking better than ever. Our state-of-the-art dining hall can accommodate up to 400 guests and may be the perfect location for your next big event!
The facility offers opportunities for use by Girl Scouts, corporations and other community organizations. Besides council events and programs, Camp Texlake is available for day and overnight use during the school year by non-Girl Scout groups.
Housing Facilities
Camp Texlake can accommodate 335 overnight guests in several housing facilities. Accommodations range to meet the needs of everyone from the most experience camper to the first time outdoorsman.
- Flora & Fauna Large Log cabins with A/C and heat, refrigerator, microwave, washer/dryer, BBQ grills and campfire circle; Flora and Fauna each have two wings with 6 rooms sleeping 4 each (24 rooms total); bathrooms in each wing
- 5 Suncrest Cabins Log cabins with A/C and heat, BBQ grills, and campfire circles; sleep 12 each; bathrooms in each cabin
- 4 Tree house Cabins Screened above-ground cabins; BBQ grill and Campfire Circle; treehouses have 2 sides sleeping 14 each; bathhouse
- Primitive Camping Sites BBQ grill and Campfire Circle; restrooms and chemical toilet at each site
- Platform Tent Unit and Screened Cabin Unit BBQ grill and Campfire Circle; bathhouse

Trading Post
The Trading Post offers all your camp memorabilia including Texlake T-shirts and backpacks, jewelry, and stuffed animals. The Trading Post is only open upon request for service unit campouts. Individual troops may purchase Texlake patches and pins by contacting the Girl Scout Shop in the Kodosky Program Center, (800) 733-0011.
Dining Facilities
Our state-of-the-art dining facility overlooks Lake Travis and accommodates up to 350 people. It can be used for non-Girl Scout activities and group meetings. Cooking facilities are unavailable; however meals can be arranged with advance reservations.
Camp Wood Lake
Camp Wood Lake, located on the shores of Lake Brownwood, is the council's 49-acre residential camp in Brown County. Program opportunities include sailing, canoeing, archery and adventure climbing.
Camp Wood Lake has overnight accommodations for up to 150. While its primary use is for Girl Scout functions, it is available for outside user groups.

Dining Areas
Approximately 4,800 square feet in size, the Dining Hall accommodates 150 guests. Kitchen facilities are not available for use. Other amenities include tables, chairs and a pantry. The camp office is located in the same building.
Housing Areas
- Mariner Unit located on the waterfront and able to sleep 24 guests
- Pathfinder Unit 5 cabins and a separate bath house, includes a program building that can accommodate winter camping, sleeps 8 per cabin
- Trailblazer Unit located near main camp and the dining hall, 10 platform tents and a separate bath house, includes a program building
- Explorer Unit normally for older girl programs, located in the secluded lower section of camp, includes canvas tents on wooden platforms and a program building
- Outpost Area primitive site secluded from the main camp for pitching your own tent
